What Book Cover Has A Mini Skirted Woman holding a Gun From, Behind?

I saw a hard cover book on the shelf of a WalMart Store here in California in early April. It showed darked hair woman, with her back turned towards you, dressed in a tight black mini-skirt, or mini-dress, with knee high, or thigh boots or socks. She may have had a scarf for something long piece of clothing hand down from her also. She was holding a weapon I think. I think it was a gun. She was facing off into the background looking at a building or some other complex. She appeared to dress a little like the female hero in “Resident Evil”. It did not appear to be a horror book, but more like a action, or suspense book. Just that fast, it was sold out, and I don’t even remember the title. What is the title of this hard cover... »View More

Where can I buy traditional clothes from Peru or Bolivia, the kind the natives wear, with their little hats?

I am looking for traditional Peruvian or Bolivian clothing for women, in sizes Small or Medium. The women wear puffy skirts and wollen vests, or wollen wrap-around overalls, and they use a small round hat. They also wear colourful pieces of fabric used to carry children, objects or anything. When I lived in Peru I saw them wear thick rubber black sandals, apparently made out of old tires. If you know where I can find all this stuff, please let me know, I’m desperate!  »View More

African hair style from the beginning of time

I’m tangled, like the curls of my love’s hair, like a snake encharmed, I turn and twist. What is this knot, this dizzy maze, this snare? All I know: if I’m not tangled here, I don’t exist. #1210, from Rumi’s Kolliyaat-e Shams-e Tabrizi Edited by Badiozzaman Forouzanfar (Tehran, Amir Kabir, 1988). Where Do our Makeup Brushes Come From?

If you are a makeup artist or a consumer and spending big bucks on natural hair makeup brushes is your thing, then I have alarming news for you. Makeup brushes are commonly made from squirrel, mink, sable, horse (sometimes called pony or camel), or goat hair. Mink and sable brushes are products of the cruel fur industry. Every year, millions of animals are trapped, drowned, and beaten to death in the wild and strangled, gassed, electrocuted, or skinned alive on fur farms. Horse hair is commonly obtained from horses that are slaughtered for their flesh. Squirrels are hunted or trapped, and goats are shorn like sheep. Workers are often paid by volume, so they shear the goats quickly, which can result in serious injuries. If that does not make... »View More
