Black women wear weaves (and wigs and color their hair) for a myriad of reasons. It is unfair to assume that by wearing a weave one is expressing self hate.

i wear weaves because i dont like combing my hair. i cut it off because i dont like combing my hair and i am gonna go back natural and cut it short and make it curly cause i dont like combing my hair… whatever i do with it has nothing to do with inferiority and hatred for my black hair but i am just to lazy..lol

All i know is what i see. There are some weave wearers who look like a non-BW from behind, with the long flowing main blowing in the wind. But when they turn around, surprise i’m really a BW.

That is what I call an oxymoron.
    ivory black
    awfully good
    bitter sweet
    anxious patient
    calm wind
    BW with non-BW hair

Now do you get it amoeba.

    @camel
You must got an amoeba for a brain, to think my heart is in a ghetto BW bed. Im attracted to neo-soul style sistas. IE the india irie’s and the badu’s.
You forgot about that group didn’t you, that is where I fit in. Where natural is the norm, where natural is pure and confident.
What a sell out statement to make to say nice bw dont date black men. So you are saying 90% of married BW are not nice.
Angela Basset is nice to me.

    GAY?
What are you going to say next, that I’m in jail. LOL

If BW wear weave because they say BM want it, they why dont they listen to other request.
IE lose the attitude, lose weight, lose the diva complex and the list goes on.

Like I said before BM opinions dont matter on this page. So what is the real reason for the BBD’s to wear weaves, I know that its beacuse she DOES WANT TO BE A BLONDE BARBIE DOLL…

Now I am a faggot, did I strike a nerve.

This is not about me, BW has made weave a culture and a $8 billion a year industry.

BM like natural look more than the astetic look. That’s why you hear jokes about fake hair, eyes, nails but want a real man.

So dont blame BM on this one, besides on this channel BM dont matter, they are not even fit to lead in BBD own words.

So I say the majority of weave wearers are women hiding what THEY consider a flaw and not what BM consider a flaw.

    Who is them?
Nonblack women don’t put BW hair in thier head.
But BW put non-BW hair in thier head.

    SO YES

    Pure BS
Take a look a soultrain, you will see no weaves and all the women had no problem getting a BM with a natural look.

On the other hand a BW today will look at that and say those hair styles are ugly.

You say many bw wear their hair permed because many black men like it that way. To be quite honest it is the black woman’s head. So, therefore, she is in control of it. Many black girls wear fake hair and there are still black men running off to women of other races. So sistas really need to stop with the whole we wear our hair straight to keep black men. If we can’t be natural and attract bm then being fake is no better. People do not like fake, not in general anyway.

Do you still see bm with perms in their hair as of today?I dont think you do.

That doesn’t matter. The point is that black men do un-natural things like relaxing their hair just like black women do. It doesn’t matter who does it the most. The point I was making is that black men can’t just point the finger at black women for doing these things when there are black men who do it themselves.

WIth regards to your last sentence….that is not something that BW need to learn. That is something that BLACK MEN need to learn! You have it backwards!

But in the 80’s (just like black women) black men started putting unnatural things like Jheri curls in their hair. And even today, black men are still wearing relaxers, texturizers, wave caps (ex: snoop dog, Al Sharpton, Flavor Flav. But, anyways, the point is that a black man created the hair relaxer and created it because he obviously thought, himself, that black people needed to straighten their hair (which I don’t believe).

He did invent and sell it. Google him. Also, he invented the relaxer to target both black men and women. If you really took the time and looked at history, black men were using the relaxers just as much as black women. It’s only been since the 70’s,80’s & 90’s that made them cut down on using them as much. And the reason for that is because black women like Angela Davis started sporting an Afro which made black men and women started wearing the afro. CONTINUED.

and why did morgan invent the relaxer. IF he did sell it, who was his main consumer?
